Hey there!

I'm Fiona, the originator of On Icy Ponds.   

On Icy Ponds began to take on its own life when I started making costumes for the lovely ladies I skate with.

Over the years, I've honed my skills, from sewing for local dance and theatre groups to owning my own costume/dance shop pre covid.  I took to learning more about stretch fabrics & computer aided design during lockdowns.  Now I use the computer for design work and pattern alterations & project directly to fabric for cutting, which I find is a huge saving on paper waste and storage - not to mention the fact it makes me feel very high techy-techy!

 My aim and approach is to listen to you and your ideas & then blend our creative flair to provide a beautiful garment of individuality, freedom of movement, comfort, and durability, which I hope will make you feel good, light up your confidence, and in turn serve to elevate your performance on the ice. Whether you're an adult skater of any age or skill level, my passion lies in crafting garments that blend elegance and grace while capturing the powerful emotions skating evokes.
